Case study · DocuDrive Solutions, fleet technology

The homepage led with the company name. Now it leads with the price.

A year ago, docudriveapp.com opened with the words DocuDrive Solutions and a form that promised a custom quote within 24 hours. Today the first screen names four products, prints the starting price, and sells two of them without a sales call. Per 1,000 users, orders more than doubled.

What changed for the business

The same traffic, doing more

Raw totals move with traffic, so every conversion below is normalized per 1,000 users. Same property, same measurement, one period before the relaunch and one after.

Above the fold

What a fleet owner can settle in the first screen

A fleet owner comparing telematics vendors is answering three questions: what does it cost, how does it stack up, and how do I start. The old homepage answered none of them without a form.

Cost

Published, not requested

The hero opens with plans from $10 a month. The pricing section names GPS at $10 and ELD at $20 per vehicle, month to month, and says plainly which lines are quoted instead.

Comparison

A table, not an adjective

DocuDrive is set against Samsara, Motive, and Verizon Connect on contract length, published pricing, free setup, and bring-your-own-device, with the date the comparison was compiled.

Start

Two ways to buy

Fleets that know what they want check out on the page through Stripe. Fleets that need a quote fill in one form. The old site had one path and a 24-hour wait.

The homepage today

Four products, one price, and a calculator

Scroll inside each frame. Desktop and phone run the same order: what it is, what it costs, how it compares, who it is for, and what it saves.

First screen

The price rides above the logo

A thin bar carries plans from $10/mo and the promise of a real person on the phone, so the number is on screen before the header finishes loading.

Order

Phone follows desktop

Four solutions, the vendor comparison, six industries, the proof band, then pricing and the calculator. Nothing is hidden on the small screen.

Weight

Built for a truck cab

One stylesheet and one theme script. A driver on a weak signal is not waiting on a page builder to assemble the layout.

Action

Buy or ask

Buy Now and Get a Quote sit in the header on every page, and the assessment offers a third way in for fleets that are still comparing.

Under the page

The old homepage was assembled in a page builder sitting on top of a WooCommerce storefront. Its HTML sent the browser after 33 stylesheets, 27 scripts, and 22 images. The rebuild is a hand-written WordPress theme: one stylesheet, two scripts, three images.

Existing content22 blog postsThe same 22 posts on the same URLs, with redirects for retired pages
How this was measured. File counts are the sum of stylesheets, scripts, and images referenced by each homepage's HTML. The before page is docudriveapp.com as archived by the Internet Archive on August 6, 2025; the after page is the live site on August 17, 2026. Conversion figures come from DocuDrive's own site analytics, normalized per 1,000 users, comparing a period before the August 2026 relaunch with a period after it; total conversions is orders plus lead form submissions. Average time on site is the mean session duration over the same two periods. Quoted homepage copy is taken verbatim from the archived page and the live page. The relaunch kept all 22 blog posts on their existing URLs and redirected retired pages, so no earned search authority was discarded in the move.
